The client’s brief was to create a private courtyard area, separating this space from the rear lawned area. The area was to be screened with feature trees and closed off with an original Indian carved door that the owner had sourced. Cube designed and built a black feature frame and fence to hold the Indian door. Evergreen Clematis Armandii were trained around the fencing to soften the screen. Beech trees wrapped around the rest of the courtyard for privacy, these were underplanted with a combination of white hydrangeas and purple flowering plants. Traditional Vande Moortel Paving was chosen for its natural character, suiting the property and antique features of the garden design. Soft lighting was evenly placed around the courtyard to complete the look.
A separate front driveway area was created using a grid and gravel system. Box Hedging and Topiary Balls were incorporated to soften the entrance and complement the period property.
‘Cube have been nothing but professional in all aspects from the design through Sean, to the planting. I would recommend their work at the highest level.
And I am very happy for any one local to come and see for themselves. I have had work done at the front of the house and Cube are returning in February for the rear, overall cost for both around £20,000
Thank you Cube and best wishes for 2016.’
