Set within wooded countryside, surrounded by rolling hills and a natural lake, the property already possessed strong visual impact. The brief was to introduce practical elements that complemented the setting, with the relocation and preservation of mature trees forming a key requirement.
At the far end of the garden, Cube 1994 designed and built a bespoke Lake House incorporating a mezzanine workspace, kitchen, cloakroom, and lounge. Panoramic glazing opens onto a large floating deck overlooking the lake and surrounding gardens, creating a seamless extension of the home. Designed with a barbecue area and lounge seating, the space is ideal for entertaining friends and family.
To the side of the house, a professional full-size tennis court was installed, featuring a porous asphalt surface, chain-link fencing, floodlighting, and designated areas for umpire and spectator seating.
A four-bay oak-framed cart lodge was also designed to reflect the Alpine character of the main property, opening onto a new block-paved driveway with a granite sett border to complete the scheme.
