This dual-aspect new-build home with a wrap-around garden was largely laid to lawn, underused, and lacking inspiration. With a young family, the brief was to create a child-friendly garden that also supported adult entertaining and relaxation. A cool, contemporary scheme with a monochromatic palette was chosen to complement the interiors, paired with Mediterranean planting for an Ibiza-inspired feel.
The smaller north-facing garden, opening onto fields, became a dedicated chill-out space with the client’s hot tub repositioned here. Glass balustrades preserve the views, while Manutti Moon Island seating, a Corten fire bowl, and bronze planters by Torc Pots add a refined finish.
The connecting side garden was transformed with black-painted fencing, evergreen jasmine climbers in a criss-cross pattern, and bespoke black-painted timber arches forming a feature walkway. Polished black pebbles and boulders complete the borders.
The larger south-facing garden was redesigned for entertaining and play, with casual dining close to the house, a relaxed seating area featuring a bespoke Ibiza daybed and water-blade feature, and a generous lawn accommodating a playhouse and bug hotel.
The Garden was featured in Modern Gardens, Garden Makeovers.
