Originally a simple new-build garden with a small patio and large lawn, the space lacked structure, seating, and planting. It has since been transformed into a multi-functional outdoor living area that seamlessly connects the existing bistro patio to new entertaining and working zones.
A porcelain path, softened by low hedging and planting, guides movement through the garden while preserving open countryside views. Contrasting dark grey pavers mark the entrance to the entertaining area, leading onto a lighter porcelain patio beneath a bespoke oak-framed pergola that defines the dining space.
A fully equipped outdoor kitchen sits alongside the dining area, creating a sociable hub, while the path continues to a purpose-built garden office with a relaxed outdoor lounge nearby. The insulated, soundproofed garden room contains two separate workspaces with independent access, lighting, electrics, and Wi-Fi, supporting comfortable, year-round working.
Cube have been brilliant for us – taking our blank canvas of a garden and turning it into a place we want to spend all our time. They managed the project from start to finish – dealing with major unknown issues (e.g. a lack of drainage in our clay soil) seamlessly. The quality of the design, the work, and the planting is all outstanding, thank you.
