In business terms, do you expect 2013 to be better than 2012?
Yes, 2013 already has some very interesting projects lined up.

What is your most important piece of machinery/equipment?
Our 360° Kubota. It saves many man hours and has paid for itself multiple times.

Name one thing unique about your business.
Our ability to take on any project. My background is in civil engineering and this gives us the upper hand on everyday landscape companies.

Do you monitor your competitors’ progress?
No – I don’t follow the sheep, I like to lead.

How do you find new clients?
We are recommended by many happy clients and designers, being an MSGD also helps.

Describe yourself in three words.
Creative, charitable, honest.

What are your unfulfilled career ambitions?
To win a Gold at Chelsea.

Best book you’ve ever read?
Papillion by Henri Charrière.

Your most inspirational garden?
The Old Vicarage at East Ruston. It’s truly amazing whatever the time of year you visit. I once said to the owner, Alan Gray “you can see and feel the love in this garden”.

Your dream job?
The one I am doing, which is running my own landscape design and build business.
